عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِعَبْدٍ شَرًّا أَخْضَرَ لَهُ فِي اللَّبِنِ وَالطِّينِ حَتَّى يَبْنِيَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الثَّلَاثَةِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رُجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا شَيْخَ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مْنَ ضَعَّفَهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الثَّلَاثَةِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رُجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا شَيْخَ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مْنَ ضَعَّفَهُ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends harm for a servant, He gives him a fondness for bricks and clay, until he begins to build."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in all three of his books (al-Kabir, al-Awsat and al-Saghir). Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except al-Tabarani's teacher, but I have not found anyone who declared him weak.
