بَابٌ فِيمَنْ قَطَعَ السِّدْرَ .
One who cuts down a lote tree

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَبَشِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ قَطَعَ سِدْرَةً صَوَّبَ اللَّهُ رَأْسَهُ فِي النَّارِ " . يَعْنِي مِنْ سِدْرِ الْحَرَمِ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : مِنْ سِدْرِ الْحَرَمِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ الْأَحَادِيثِ فِي كِتَابِ الْأَدَبِ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : مِنْ سِدْرِ الْحَرَمِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ الْأَحَادِيثِ فِي كِتَابِ الْأَدَبِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Hubshi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever cuts down a lote tree, Allah Almighty will cast his head into Hell." The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the lote trees of the Haram.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Abu Dawud recorded this narration, but he did not record these words: "What is meant is the lote tree of the Haram."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). The remaining hadith on this subject will come in the Book of Manners (Adab).
