Dawud bin Abd al-Jabbar narrates: I was with Ibrahim bin Jarir at a funeral, and he was riding. When we reached the graveyard, a snake came out there. Ibrahim said: My father told me this hadith, that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever sees a snake and then does not kill it out of fear of it has nothing to do with me."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrator Dawud is extremely da'if (weak).
