عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَاضِعٍ رِجْلَهُ عَلَى صَفْحَةِ شَاةٍ ، وَهُوَ يَحُدُّ شَفْرَتَهُ وَهِيَ تَلْحَظُ إِلَيْهِ بِبَصَرِهَا قَالَ : " أَفَلَا قَبْلَ هَذَا ؟ أَوَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُمِيتَهَا مَوْتَتَيْنِ ؟ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who had placed one foot on the side of a goat while he was sharpening his knife, and the goat was looking at the knife. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Could this not have been done before this? Does this man want to make it (that is, the goat) die twice?
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
