Muslim bin Aslam bin Bujrah, who belonged to (the clan of) al-Harith bin al-Khazraj and was an elderly man, related this: Once he came to Madinah and completed the business he had in the market, then he went back home. When he took off his cloak, he remembered that he had not prayed in the mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He thought: "By Allah, I have not prayed in the Prophet's Mosque, whereas the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: 'Whoever of you comes to this town should by no means return to his family until he has prayed two rak'ahs in this mosque; then (after that) he may return to his family.'"
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
