Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Madinah is the place of my emigration and my resting place in the earth. It is a duty upon my Ummah to honour my neighbours as long as they avoid the major sins. Whoever among them does not do so, Allah Almighty will make him drink from Tinat al-Khabal." We asked: "O Abu Yasar! What is meant by Tinat al-Khabal?" He replied: "The discharge squeezed from the people of Hell."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Salam bin Abi al-Janub, who is matruk (abandoned). And Allah knows best.
