عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ : مِنَ السُّنَّةِ النُّزُولُ بِالْأَبْطَحِ عَشِيَّةَ النَّفْرِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) says: It is the Sunnah to encamp in the valley of al-Abtah on the evening of the departure.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).
