وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَطَيَّبِي وَأَنْتِ مُحْرِمَةٌ ، وَلَا تَمَسِّي الْحِنَّاءَ ; فَإِنَّهُ طِيبٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .

Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not apply perfume while you are in ihram, and do not apply henna, for it too is a perfume."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, whose hadith is hasan (good), and he has been criticised.
