Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5225

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a fasting person sits with people while they are eating, the angels keep praying for mercy for that fasting person until the fasting person breaks his fast."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Aban bin Abi Ayyash, and he is matruk (abandoned).
