بَابٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ : الرَّيَّانُ لَا يَدْخُلُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا الصَّائِمُونَ " .

وَعَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْصَرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ بَاعَدَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ كَبُعْدِ غُرَابٍ طَارَ وَهُوَ فَرْخٌ حَتَّى مَاتَ هَرِمًا " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سَلَامَةُ بْنُ قَيْصَرٍ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سَلَامَةُ بْنُ قَيْصَرٍ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .
Sayyiduna Salamah bin Qaysar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts one day seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty removes him from Hell as far as a crow would fly if it began flying as a chick until it died of old age (that is, as much distance as it covers, Allah Almighty removes that servant that far from Hell)."
Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it, except that they gave the name as Salaamah bin Qaysar. Its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, and there is criticism of him.
