Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4671

Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Abza (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those with abundance are ruined, except the case of the one who says like this and like this (that is, spends in the path of Allah)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Imran bin Sulayman, about whom al-Azdi said: Some of his narrations are known and some are denounced.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Other hadith of this kind will come later in the chapter on abstinence (zuhd), if Allah wills.
