Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Dharr! Which mountain is this?" I said: O Messenger of Allah! This is Mount Uhud. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By the One in whose Hand is my soul, it would not please me that it were mine in pieces of gold which I spend in the path of Allah and then leave a single qirat of it. I said: O Messenger of Allah! A qintar? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A qirat. He said this three times. Then he said: O Abu Dharr! I mention what is the least; I do not mention what is the most.
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Salim bin Abi Hafsah, about whom there is criticism.
