بَابُ الْعُمَّالِ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْهَا .

وَعَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ مُصَدِّقًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ ، فَلَمَّا أَخَذَ صَدَقَاتِهِمْ وَافَقَ ذَلِكَ وَفَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ دَاوُدُ بْنُ الزِّبْرِقَانِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him as a zakah collector to his people. When he had collected the zakah from them, it was at that time that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Dawud bin al-Zibriqan, who is da'if (weak).
