وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : انْقَطَعَ قِبَالُ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَاسْتَرْجَعَ فَقَالُوا : مُصِيبَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ! فَقَالَ : " مَا أَصَابَ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِمَّا يَكْرَهُ فَهِيَ مُصِيبَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادٍ ضَعِيفٍ .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The sandal strap of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) broke, and he recited 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un'. The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! Is this also a calamity?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever befalls the believer that he dislikes is a calamity."
