Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3886

وَبِسَنَدِهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَرَّ بِجِدَارٍ مَائِلٍ فَأَسْرَعَ الْمَشْيَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي أَكْرَهُ مَوْتَ الْفَوَاتِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَإِسْنَادُهُ ضَعِيفٌ .
With his chain, he narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a wall that was about to fall, and he walked past quickly. This was mentioned to him, and he said: "I dislike sudden death."
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its chain is da'if (weak).
