Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3806

It is reported from him that he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever a believing man or a believing woman falls ill, Allah Almighty makes (that illness) an expiation for his past sins."
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Yusuf bin Khalid al-Samti, and he is da'if (weak).
