بَابُ كَفَّارَةِ سَيِّئَاتِ الْمَرِيضِ وَمَا لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ .

وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " لَا يَمْرَضُ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا مُؤْمِنَةٌ وَلَا مُسْلِمٌ وَلَا مُسْلِمَةٌ إِلَّا حَطَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً " .
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : " حَطَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : " حَطَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whenever a believing man or a believing woman, or a Muslim man or a Muslim woman, falls ill, Allah Almighty wipes out his sins because of that illness." In one narration the wording is: "Allah Almighty wipes away his sins from him."
