Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever visits a sick person plunges into mercy, and when he sits with him, mercy covers him. If he visits him in the early part of the day, seventy thousand angels pray for his forgiveness until evening, and if he visits in the latter part of the day, seventy thousand angels pray for his forgiveness until morning." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! This merit is for the one who visits; what (reward) does the sick person receive?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He receives many times this (reward)."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Abd al-Malik al-Ansari, and I have not found anyone who mentions him.
