وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الصَّلَاةُ خَيْرُ مَوْضُوعٍ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يَسْتَكْثِرَ فَلْيَسْتَكْثِرْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْمُنْعِمِ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Prayer is the best thing; whoever is able to perform it abundantly should perform it abundantly."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abd al-Mun'im bin Bashir, who is da'if (weak).
