بَابُ الْوِتْرِ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَآخِرَهُ وَقَبْلَ النَّوْمِ .

وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ أَنَامَ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade me from going to sleep without performing the witr.
