Majma al-Zawaid 3393 — A comprehensive chapter on what is prayed

Abu Ubaydah says: It was the practice of Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) to offer, during the day, four rak'ahs before Zuhr, two rak'ahs after it, two rak'ahs after Maghrib, two rak'ahs after Isha, and two rak'ahs before Fajr; and he would not offer any (voluntary or Sunnah) prayer before Asr or after it.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; the narrator Abu Ubaydah did not hear from his father.
