Abu al-Ward narrates that he heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr say: The words of the tashahhud of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which he used to recite, are these: "In the name of Allah Almighty, seeking blessing, and seeking help from Allah, the best of names. All forms of verbal, physical and financial worship are exclusively for Allah Almighty. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah Almighty; He is One, He has no partner; and that Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and His Messenger, whom He sent with the truth as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner, and that the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it. Peace be upon you, O noble Prophet, and the mercy of Allah Almighty and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon all the righteous servants of Allah Almighty. O Allah, forgive me and guide me."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and he added these words: "He is One, He has no partner." At its end he also recorded these words: "This is to be after the first two rak'ahs." This narration revolves around a narrator named Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there is criticism.
