Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2814

Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The first thing to be taken away from among the people will be humility (khushu')."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Imran bin Dawud al-Qattan, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak), while Imam Ahmad and Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
