وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : يَا فُلَانُ لَا تَقْرَأْ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ إِمَامًا لَا يَقْرَأُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "O so-and-so, do not recite behind the imam, unless the imam is one who does not recite; then the matter is different."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are "thiqat" (trustworthy).
