Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2580

Shaqiq narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever emigrates seeking something, that is what he will get. He said: A man emigrated in order to marry a woman named Umm Qays, so that man was given the name "the emigrant of Umm Qays".
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
