وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : سَوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَتَخَلَّلُهَا كَالْحَذَفِ - أَوْ : أَوْلَادِ الْحَذَفِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Keep your rows in order, for Satan comes in between them as though he were a small (i.e. stunted) goat, or the young of a small goat.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
