Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2499

Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Stay straight and your hearts will stay straight; stay close to one another and show mercy to one another." Qadi Shurayh says: The word 'tamassu' means: crowd together during the prayer. Others have said: The word 'tamassu' means: keep joined to one another!
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains al-Harith, who is da'if (weak).
