وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " صَفُّوا كَمَا تَصُفُّ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ " قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ تَصُفُّ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ؟ قَالَ : " يُقِيمُونَ الصُّفُوفَ وَيَجْمَعُونَ مَنَاكِبَهُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Form rows as the angels form rows in the presence of their Lord." The people said: O Messenger of Allah, how do the angels form rows in the presence of their Lord? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They keep the rows straight and keep their shoulders together."
