وَعَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا يَمْسَحُ الرَّجُلُ جَبْهَتَهُ مِنَ التُّرَابِ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَمْسَحَ الْعَرَقَ عَنْ صُدْغَيْهِ [ فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ مَا دَامَ أَثَرُ السُّجُودِ عَلَيْهِ ] " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ هَكَذَا سَمَّاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالْمِزِّيُّ فِي تَرْجَمَةِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ سَابُورَ، وَقَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ هَكَذَا سَمَّاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالْمِزِّيُّ فِي تَرْجَمَةِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ سَابُورَ، وَقَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ .
Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man should not wipe the dust from his forehead until he has finished the prayer. However, there is no harm in his wiping the sweat from his temples, for the angels keep invoking mercy on him as long as the trace of prostration (that is, dust and the like) remains on him."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Isa bin Abdullah bin al-Hakam bin al-Nu'man bin Bashir, who is matruk (abandoned). Bazzar gave his name like this, and al-Mizzi said the same in the biography of Muhammad bin Shu'ayb bin Sabur. Al-Dhahabi says: He is Isa bin Abd al-Rahman.
