Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) says: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done in the mosque. The narrator says: I asked Ibn Uyaynah: "Does this mean the place of prayer in his house?" He said: "No, it means the mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there is criticism. Muslim mentioned in his book "al-Tamyiz" that Ibn Lahi'ah erred when he narrated the word "ihtajama" (he had cupping), with a mim, whereas the actual word is "ihtajara", meaning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a small enclosure (hujrah). And Allah knows best.
