بَابُ مَا يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ .

عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنْ شِئْتُمْ أَنْبَأْتُكُمْ بِأَوَّلِ مَا يَقُولُ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَبِأَوَّلِ مَا يَقُولُونَ ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - يَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ : هَلْ أَحْبَبْتُمْ لِقَائِي ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ : نَعَمْ . يَا رَبَّنَا ، فَيَقُولُ : لِمَ ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ : رَجَوْنَا رَحْمَتَكَ وَعَفْوَكَ . فَيَقُولُ : فَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَكُمْ رَحْمَتِي " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِسَنَدَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, I will tell you what Allah Almighty will say first on the Day of Resurrection, and what they (that is, the believers) will say first." The people said: "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty will say to the believers: 'Did you love to come into My presence?' They will answer: 'Yes! O our Lord!' The Lord will say: 'Why?' They will say: 'We hoped for Your mercy and Your pardon.' The Lord will say: 'My mercy has become due for you.'"
