وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمِيرَةَ - وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا خَرَّ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ مِنْ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَمُوتُ هَرَمًا فِي مَرْضَاةِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - لَحَقَّرَهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ ، وَلَوَدَّ أَنَّهُ رُدَّ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا كَيْمَا يَزْدَادَ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ وَالثَّوَابِ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ مَوْقُوفًا ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Abi Amirah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), says: "If a man were to fall on his face (in prostration) for the pleasure of Allah Almighty from the day he was born until the day he dies in old age, on that day (that is, the Day of Resurrection) he would consider even that insignificant, and he would wish to be returned to the world; he would wish this so that his reward and recompense might increase."
