عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمُ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمْ ; فَإِنَّهَا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ الْعِشَاءُ ، وَإِنَّمَا سَمَّتْهَا الْأَعْرَابُ الْعَتَمَةَ مِنْ أَجْلِ إِبِلِهِمْ لِحِلَابِهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ ، وَغَيْلَانُ بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ ، وَغَيْلَانُ بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdul Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not let the Bedouins prevail over you regarding the name of your prayer, for in the Book of Allah Almighty it is mentioned by the name 'Isha', while the Bedouins call it 'Atamah' because at that time they milk their camels."
Imam al-Bazzar and Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator who is not named, and I do not know Ghaylan bin Shurahbil. The remaining narrators of this report are "thiqat (trustworthy)".
