Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1729

وَعَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ نَاسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالُوا : كُنَّا نُصْلِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْمَغْرِبَ ثُمَّ نَنْصَرِفُ ، فَنَتَرَامَى حَتَّى نَأْتِيَ دِيَارَنَا ، فَمَا يَخْفَى عَلَيْنَا مَوَاقِعُ سِهَامِنَا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Ali bin Bilal narrates this from some of the Ansar; they said: We used to offer the Maghrib prayer behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then we would go back, moving along quickly until we reached our quarters, and the place where his arrow landed would not be hidden from any one of us (that is, there was enough light for the eye to see that far).
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
