عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : كُنَّا نُصْلِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْمَغْرِبَ ، ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ إِلَى مَنَازِلِنَا وَهِيَ مِيلٌ وَأَنَا أُبْصِرُ مَوَاقِعَ النَّبْلِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، وَهُوَ مُخْتَلَفٌ فِي الِاحْتِجَاجِ بِهِ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَاحْتَجَّ بِهِ أَحْمَدُ وَغَيْرُهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، وَهُوَ مُخْتَلَفٌ فِي الِاحْتِجَاجِ بِهِ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَاحْتَجَّ بِهِ أَحْمَدُ وَغَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We used to offer the Maghrib prayer behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then we would return to our homes, which were a mile away, and at that time I could see where an arrow landed.
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and Abu Ya'la recorded it from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqil. There is disagreement about using him as evidence; al-Tirmidhi declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and Ahmad and others used him as evidence.
