Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Reciting 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' is a cure for ninety-nine ailments, the lightest of which is anxiety."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Bishr bin Rafi' al-Harithi, who is da'if (weak), though he has been declared trustworthy. The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that in the manuscript of al-Mu'jam al-Awsat the name of Ajlan, the father of the narrator Muhammad, is missing; he is the narrator between him and Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him). And Allah knows best.
