وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " حُبُّ قُرَيْشٍ إِيمَانٌ ، وَبُغْضُهُمْ كُفْرٌ ، وَحُبُّ الْعَرَبِ إِيمَانٌ ، وَبُغْضُهُمْ كُفْرٌ . مَنْ أَحَبَّ الْعَرَبَ فَقَدْ أَحَبَّنِي ، وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَ الْعَرَبَ فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَنِي " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمَّازٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Loving Quraysh is faith and hating them is disbelief; loving the Arabs is faith and hating them is disbelief. Whoever loves the Arabs loves me, and whoever hates the Arabs hates me."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains al-Haytham bin Jammaz, who is matruk (abandoned).
