وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَنَا عَرَبِيٌّ ، وَالْقُرْآنُ عَرَبِيٌّ ، وَلِسَانُ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ عَرَبِيٌّ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am an Arab, the Qur'an is Arabic, and the language of the people of Paradise will be Arabic."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abd al-Aziz bin Imran, who is matruk (abandoned).
