وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ عَيْبَتِي الَّتِي آوَيْتُ إِلَيْهَا ، فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ ، وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ ; فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ أَدَّوُا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي لَهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the Ansar are those closest to me, with whom I took refuge. So accept the good of the good-doer among them and overlook the wrongdoer among them, for they have fulfilled what was due from them, and what is due to them remains."
