وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The best of people is my generation, then those after them, then those after them."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Yusuf bin Atiyyah, and he is matruk (abandoned).
