وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ : تُوُفِّيَ وَاثِلَةُ بْنُ الْأَسْقَعِ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَثَمَانِينَ ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ مِائَةٍ وَخَمْسِ سِنِينَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَسَعِيدٌ ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَسَعِيدٌ ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sa'id bin Khalid said: Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in 83 AH; at that time he was 105 years old.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. The narrator Sa'id was declared da'if (weak) by the majority, while Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
