بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ ذَكَرَ لَهُمْ أَسْمَاءَهُمْ ، أَوْ وَفَيَاتِهِمْ ، أَوْ أَنْسَابَهُمْ .

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ جَبْرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ [ ثُمَّ الْأَوْسِيُّ ] بَدْرِيٌّ ، وَيُقَالُ : اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَكَانَ اسْمُهُ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ عَبْدَ الْعُزَّى ، وَهُوَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ بَدْرٍ ، وَيُقَالُ : عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ جَبْرِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ بَدْرِيٌّ . .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Jabr al-Ansari al-Awsi (may Allah be pleased with him); he had the honour of taking part in the Battle of Badr. According to one view his name is Abdullah, and in the Jahiliyyah his name was Abd al-Uzza. He is Abd al-Rahman bin Amr bin Badr; according to one view he is Abd al-Rahman bin Jabr bin Harithah bin al-Harith bin al-Khazraj bin Amr bin Malik bin al-Aws, who had the honour of taking part in the Battle of Badr.
