بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ ذَكَرَ لَهُمْ أَسْمَاءَهُمْ ، أَوْ وَفَيَاتِهِمْ ، أَوْ أَنْسَابَهُمْ .

- وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْكَلْبِيِّ : شَرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُطَاعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْغِطْرِيفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ مُلَادِمِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رُهْمِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ يَشْكُرَ بْنِ مُبَشِّرِ بْنِ الْغَوْثِ بْنِ مُرَاخِي [ تَمَيمِ بْنِ مُرٍّ ، وَيُقَالُ إِنَّهُ مِنْ كِنْدَةَ ] .
Ibn al-Kalbi says: Sayyiduna Shurahbil (may Allah be pleased with him) is the son of Abdullah bin al-Muta' bin Abdullah bin al-Ghitrif bin Abd al-Uzza bin Jaththamah bin Malik bin Muladim bin Malik bin Ruhm bin Sa'd bin Yashkur bin Mubashshir bin al-Ghawth bin Murakhi, Tamim bin Murr; and according to one view he was from Kinda.
