بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ ذَكَرَ لَهُمْ أَسْمَاءَهُمْ ، أَوْ وَفَيَاتِهِمْ ، أَوْ أَنْسَابَهُمْ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ : زَيْدُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ أَخُو عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ لِأَبِيهِ ، وَكَانَ أَسَنَّ مِنْ عُمَرَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ إِلَى أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ثِقَاتٌ .

Abu Ubaydah Ma'mar bin al-Muthanna narrates: Sayyiduna Zayd bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was the paternal half-brother of Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was older than Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
