عَنْ أَبِي جُمْعَةِ : جُنْبَذِ بْنِ سَبْعٍ قَالَ : قَاتَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَوَّلَ النَّهَارِ كَافِرًا ، وَقَاتَلْتُ مَعَهُ آخِرَ النَّهَارِ مُسْلِمًا ، وَكُنَّا ثَلَاثَةَ رِجَالٍ وَسَبْعَ نِسْوَةٍ ، وَفِينَا نَزَلَتْ : " وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌ مُؤْمِنُونَ وَنِسَاءٌ مُؤْمِنَاتٌ " الْآيَةَ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Jum'ah Junbudh bin Sab' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the early part of the day, while a disbeliever, I fought against the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and in the latter part of the day, as a Muslim, I fought alongside him. We were three men and seven women, and this verse was revealed concerning us: "Had there not been believing men and believing women (to the end of the verse)."
