وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لِأَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ وَسَمِعَهُ يَقْرَأُ : " لَقَدْ أُوتِيَ أَخُوكُمْ مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مُرْسَلًا ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Abd al-Rahman bin Ka'b bin Malik narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), having heard him reciting; he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your brother has been given a share of the melodious voices of the family of Dawud."
