وَعَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ قَالَ : لَوْ رَأَيْتُمْ مُعَاوِيَةَ لَقُلْتُمْ : هَذَا الْمَهْدِيُّ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مُرْسَلًا ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Al-A'mash narrated: If you had seen Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), you would have said: "This is the Mahdi."
