Buqayrah, the wife of Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him), states: When the time of death of Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) drew near, he called me. He was at that time in his upper room, which had four doors. He said: "O Buqayrah, open these doors. Today I see visitors, and I do not know through which of these doors they will come in to me." Then he called for some musk and said: "Mix it with water in a bowl." I did so. Then he said: "Sprinkle it for me, then go down and stay down below. Soon you will find my nearness on my bed in darkness." She says: When (later) I looked in, his soul had been taken at that very place, on his bed.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it through al-Jazl from Sayyidah Buqayrah (may Allah be pleased with her), and I do not know either of them; the remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
