وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - شَخَصَ بِبَصَرِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ، قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا هَذَا ؟ قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ مَلَكًا عَرَجَ بِعَمَلِ سَلْمَانَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ النُّورِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَسْمَعِيُّ ، وَهُوَ كَذَّابٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raise his gaze and look towards the sky. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter?" He said: "I have seen an angel ascending with the deeds of Salman."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Nur bin Abdullah al-Misma'i, and he is kadhdhab (a liar).
