وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : ابْنُ مَخْزُومِ بْنِ كَاهِلِ بْنِ حَارِثِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ هُذَيْلٍ ، حُلَفَاءِ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، وَرِجَالُ الْأَوَّلِ ثِقَاتٌ .
In one narration the words are: He is (Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Mas'ud bin al-Harith bin Shamkh) bin Makhzum bin Kahil bin Harith bin Sa'd bin Hudhayl, who were allies of Banu Zuhrah.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration with two chains, and the narrators of the first one are thiqat (trustworthy).
